Global Merchandising

Spain Research Project

OBJECTIVE:

The objective of this research project is to analyze how the economic, political, and legal landscape of Spain has shaped its apparel merchandising policies, processes, and practices. By exploring the challenges and opportunities within the local market, including Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) regulations, the project will examine the impact of the legal system and government on the fashion industry, determining whether they have encouraged or restricted its growth. Using American merchandising theory as a base of comparison, this study will provide a deeper understanding of how various global systems influence apparel merchandising strategies in different regions and cultures.
